| Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park in Central Florida is a showcase for native Florida wildlife. The star of the show is the Florida Manatee. We have many manatees residing at the park. Other Florida wildlife includes Florida Panthers, Alligators, Crocodiles, a hippopotamus, otters, waterfowl, birds of prey and more. The manatees seem to capture the hearts of virtualy everyone. We house and rehabilitate manatees who are injured as well as those born at the park. The park's web site also contains information about manatee history, manatee conservation, manatee educational material, many manatee photographs and just plain tons of stuff about manatees.
